Hey yall. Well ive came to the conclusion that i am goin to get the Rl-p15. I was just wondering what the specs are on this sub and how long should it last (not going to overpower it)? Just throwin this out there but ive heard these subs are great and i am wondering why when i went to some custom sub place they never heard of Soundsplinter?

www.soundsplinter.com

They will last long, if you treat it well (i.e. set gains correctly, etc)

Ask that shop if they have heard of TC Sounds.

Soundsplinter is an internet only company, unless you educate yourself on other products, you probably have not heard of the company.

Alright thanks. So what would i need to set the gains at? I plan on using a Hifonics 1205 or 1500 amp. So you dont know what the specs are?

As stated, cruise over to the website and you should find all the spec's you need in terms of T/S parameters as well as enclosure related specifications. If you would like to discuss something specifically related to your application, go ahead and fire over an email and we can get down to it!

Longevity-wise, there is no reason why this subwoofer won't last your entire lifetime if you treat it right. The parts are sturdy and the driver is well-built, so I wouldn't worry about it falling apart. Worst case, if something does fall apart (and it's not due to you overpowering the system or dropping it, etc) it will be covered under the one year warranty.

SoundSplinter's only been around for little over a year now, and being that I haven't setup any distributors or retailers, it is no suprise that your local shop hasn't heard about 'em. Tell you what though, bring 'em over to the shop after you get 'em setup and I bet they'll remember them after hearing them ;)
