Posted June 1, 201015 yr I'm getting 2 12's of either kind. What's most important to me is the SQ, then the lows, and then SPL. I will have all the upgrades I need, as far as BIG 3, H/O Alternator, and XS power battery ( based on which subs i choose). The box i have is 5cuft tuned to 30Hz. Also if i decide the BL or Q i will get the 2 Sundown SAZ-1000D or 1 SAZ-2000D, If i choose the XCONS i will get a sundown SAZ-3500D, If i choose the Havocs I will pre-ordder the Sun-down SAZ-2500D. What will get louder? What will sound the best while being loud?&What will hit the lows the best while being loud and having good SQ?Also money is not a problem.Any input is helpful Thanks guys
June 1, 201015 yr If I were you, I'd get the xcons with saz-3500d. They will get loud and they will sound good doing it. Hitting the lows is relative to what you consider low, and its box dependent The lower you tune the better sq but less output on higher end. 30hz is a good choice for what you want.
June 1, 201015 yr Author XCON.Haha biased, but it looks like a great suibwoofer from all the reviews. How do you like you're XCONS for SPL, SQ, and hitting lows?
June 1, 201015 yr I have played with ALOT of woofers over the years....the Xcons hands down is my #1 choicesmooth , flat and accurate with a HARD hit all aroundand I would avoid the BL like herpies...they are one of the peakiest sounding subs I have ever heard they are loud and will hit a small range of notes hard but not musical at all

I've never been able to pick it up or hear anyone pick it up, except videos on Youtube. Haha

Sounds like a good choice. Any body ever heard any of these subs?
June 1, 201015 yr Mark (co-owner of ssa) hits it pretty f***ing well with his 2 18" xcons. His box is tuned to 26hz.I heard it a couple weekends ago and I was sold So yes, I have heard the xcons and icons and I love them both Edited June 1, 201015 yr by stefanhinote
June 2, 201015 yr Admin This is all heavily dependent on the install and build. All 4 drivers are very capable and can out preform most competitors. But the 4 you mentioned are in a little different market segments and design goals. The Havoc and Xcon are your all our super sub types, the Q is an excellent SQ driver, and the BL is a stout daily ground pounder. So you need to focus in on exactly what you are going for with out thinking about being loud ( as all 4 can get very loud in the proper install ) or thinking about sounding good as again all 4 can, but heavily dependent on the install.

I completely agree but I would still avoid the BL like herpies.....LOL
