I got the P9 yesterday----and I know I am falling in love with speed(I have only 3400 miles on the Magnum----I got it on Dec. 13th of last year) Is there a certain milage I should have on it before I put this on?

edit-----is 680 horsepower enough I wonder-----lol lol lol

certain mileage? yeah..like 00000..lol..

buy the damn thing!! u can never have too much hp!!! never!!

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:

Considering what each does, the +'s & -'s of the various engines....I have always liked superchargers on wheezers (4 & 6 cylinders) and turbos on anything big (8's, 10's & 12's). There is just so much exhaust that a turbo can spool up fast as hell on a big engine and the big engines already have so much power down low that you can break the tires loose without forced induction. No point in having power you can't put down to the pavement. I am betting at 600+ hp your car will not be as much fun especially with the tires breaking loose everytime you mash it. Just my 2 pesos. No matter what you do post up what you think about it. Oh yeah and just so you understand I think there is alot more to enjoy then just going straight, that is why for me monster hp is not always the answer and this is just my opinion, I am not knocking what your planning. Good luck bro.

I doubt a all-wheel-drive 4Matic drivetrain w/ all speed traction control would be breaking loose------and I have always liked turbos on 4's and 6's----superchargers on anything bigger----Diesals being differant.Turbo I6 Cummins come to mind.

Magnums are AWD??????????? .....and 680hp on the stock tranny, thats impressive....I never liked those magnums but they must be built like tanks...well I guess it should be with the 5.7hemi but I am also not much of a Dodge fan....I thnk I am still scarred from my childhood....my mom used to have a dodge like the one from "Hunter" and it was brown with a blue door.....but then again it did run but it was a......Dodge.....but then again there is the 1972 Dodge Challenger......I hope you enjoy it and again please post up when it's done.

I know the mercedes tranny you have will hold, but I am not sure about the AWD case

lol...

my wife will be getting a magnum soon as a new work car...lmao....

sorry dave, no offense intended...but the v6's are dogs and the company will be going from getting 30mpg outa their impala's to 20mpg (6 ppl already have the mag and that's what they are averaging) just because he saved a few bucks on the purchase price...

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:

It just seems sometimes I want more----but in all reality 340/390 is enough.

trade it up for the 6.1 then

  • Author

all the v6's suck power wise----the 5.7 is good----quick enough for me-----the 6.1(I drove one last night) is scary fast-----I love being around all these new cars all the time.
