June 4, 201015 yr Author ok since the ssf starts at 10 hz and maxs at sixty i should set it about halfway up? this is my first "real" amp every other one i've had only had gain, freq, and bass boost. plus i've never had one that could even push rms wattage of any good subs i had
June 5, 201015 yr You can either start halfway and work your way up the SSF till you feel your sub is safe or start at 60Hz and work your way down till you find where your comfortable with the subs excursion limits.
June 7, 201015 yr Author I think i pretty much got it set up. so using my dmm setting the gain the sq root of 1000rms is 31.6 and i only had to turn the gain up like 1/4 of the way. is the saz1500 really that powerful? man i gotta get money to build my new box that will fit in the trunk. this one didnt fit when i tried the sub is touching the trunk lid without it turned on. so imma build one 4.0ft^3 tuned at 33hz. thats fosgates recommended tuning.
