I am planning to repair the scuffs and nicks in my wheels. I have been doing my research, and reading up on different ways. I wanted to see if anyone has used a specific wheel putty as I have seen a few times (IIRC in Bavarian Auto), or should I go for the Bondo approach that I have seen in a few tutorials?

Considering painting the wheels after the repair too.

Do not use filler unless it's a metal filler ( Metal 2 Metal or Lab Metal) and even then it's hit or miss. It really depends on how bad they are and how they are made.

If they are forged, you are pretty much screwed. If they're cast, they can be filled (welded) and ground/sanded to smooth again, then painted, machined, polished, chromed, whatever, and it's a permanent and safe repair.

Thanks Ryan for taking the time to peak in. These wheels are the Brabus Monoblock IV's, so that means they are limited in existance, massive cast wheels that are out of production. I don't have the cash this time to have them professionally refinished, so I wanted to find a respectable DIY solution.

I would seal them until you can have them repaired as Ryan said. I had a similar problem with some rims I had.
