If you just want a hella loud box that doesn't sound very good make a bandpass box or a really large ported box with a huge slot and tune that bastard to like 50hz or something. It'll just crush at that freq. but everthing else will sound awkward. Is your electrical system up to the job?As far as my recs for the above listed the 2rlp's will blow the others away in SQ and most likely SPL but I'm not sure on the SPL (but theoretically they shouldn't be far off)My rlp 12 can easily make my amp clip in a 1.2 cuft sealed off of 600watts. So with 1000 watts you might not really see the full potential of your subs.later,b
September 6, 200520 yr pssst, your sub isnt the reason your amp clips That last statement makes a whole lot of no sense.Power compression maybe?

September 6, 200520 yr Author Don't buy from ebay... pm mrray13.Drop the cap and do the big 3.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>big 3?????????
September 6, 200520 yr all out spl and 1000wrms?the re sx in about 2.5-3ft, tuned upwards of 40hz, that should just about make u deaf.while the ss rl-p's would indeed hold their own, i wouldn't recommend them. why? they are an sq sub that can get loud. they aren't designed to just thrash all day, though in the proper enclosure, they will.the re se's, i have no experience with, but again, i'll refrain from suggesting them. why?while two twelves have the potential to be louder, u mentioned the weird layout of the vehicle. u also made mention of buying 1.8ft^3 boxes. so that tells me space is limited. so instead of trying to put two twelves in a space that might be good for sql, that could potential starve the subs for spl, i'll suggest the one sub setup. especially since that one sub is known to get loud. it'll make install alot easier, IMO.so again, i say grab the re sx, find/build/buy a 2.5-3ft^3 enclosure, 40-50in^2 of port, tuned in the 40-44hz area...wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
September 6, 200520 yr of Your stated choices, none. For the same cost, pick up a 15" SX and go with a 3.0ish box. If You must go RE.-Nick
September 7, 200520 yr Admin there are two RL-ps for sale from Effendi, and an SX 10 for sale on here also
September 15, 200520 yr http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...p?showtopic=200<{POST_SNAPBACK}> I agree 1000watts pushing a sub in a 2.5cf @ 40Hz shloud make you very happy in a car that small ! but make sure the sub you get will take 1000 rms and remember that the AC mics like notes around 60Hz so dont start to low like i did i use the SoundStream T4 15" x2 ea will take 1000 rms w/ dual 1ohm coils
