Hey i am thinking of buying a Kenwood 822 cd player. Its the 03 model and it folds out. Anyway i can get it for 50 bucks from a guy but when you put a cd in it says toxic error and it wont work. But you have to keep the screen from sliding all the way down and it will play the cd. I am askin yall for yalls opinion if i should buy it and wondering if yall know whats wrong with it and how much to fix it. Thanks

Not worth the hassle really. Look for a better deal. I just got lucky and picked up a MINT Eclipse 54400 for $25.

I agree with ryan, I had been around or seen many '03 or earlier kenwood decks fail

as much as i love my Kenwood x979 !!!! i would not bother with a unit thats allready broken after getting it fixxed you could have bought a new 1 for the same price
