Hey my friend is looking at JBL for a 15 inch woofer. Ive told him to shop around for what he wants and we would like to know if they are any good. Thanks

jbl has some decent stuff....

i know of a pair of jbl w15GTi's, used..but in good shape. he'll probably toss in the third blown one for free....

if seriously interested, i'll call and get a price and pics....

I have wanted to try the GTi's since they came out, but there has not seemed to have been much info on them, and when I had the chance to buy one, I grabbed an RL-p on the group buy

I'ld look at other companys over JBL personally. JBL is good, but imo there are better. Check out the Resonant Engineering XXX for example. Browse the forums you'll find lots of info.

I have heard good things about jbl, imo. there is better for the money.

Is he looking for SQ or SPL?

I am still kicking myself for not grabbing a few when SD first had them and at an awesome price for the 10's

JBL is ok, but the bad thing about the gti subs is if you blow it you cant recone it, you have to get a totally new sub. Its in the design of the flat coil i believe. They have that patented as well for some reason, weird sub. Personally id look into other alternatives, xxx 15, brahama 15, stereo integrity d2 15 just to name a few. Id recommend re sx 15s as well
