Posted September 22, 200519 yr I really like you new woofer and was planning to get one of the originals magnums but you now what happened. I am trying to not make this a comparsion thread but it might just become one.I currently own the 15HC and I am looking for something more efficient. I really like the low end of the 15HC but I would just love a louder all around woofer. I have a viper 1200.1 amp that puts out about 1200 watts and the box I am currently using is 4.05 cuft tuned to 30 hz. I plan to buy another car next year and would like to keep the box I made for the 15HC until I get the new car.I was basically looking for a woofer that would be a better option in terms in loudness if I did a direct swap. The 15HC is low end monster but the upper reponse (40hz to 70hz) leaves me wanting more. I have a set of 6.5 inch cdt comps in my doors but I still have a noticable gap in system. Does the Magnum D2 have the same reponse as the HC or is it somewhat different? If I were to put the mag in the same box as the 15HC should I expect better SQ or worse SQ? I listen to mostly hiphop music but I do venture out to different genre's of music sometimes. Sorry about the long post but the only woofer I have heard that is somewhat comparable is the 15HC.Sorry if it seems like I am rambling but this is the only way I can compared the sound of the two drivers.Milton

It simply sound amazing, on ANY type of music. It's musically accurate, and still handles the lows with ease. NG

NG<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Exactly. The new Mag's upper end response is very accurate and very tight, while still having the ability to play stupid low.
September 23, 200519 yr Author That is great to hear. I really like the 15HC but the upper extention is killing me. Unless I was listening to some lil jon or something crunk, the woofer wasn't all that impressive. Maybe it's that I am getting older but I really starting to appreciate SQ sometimes more then loudness. Well, enough of my ramble.BTW, the reviews this thing is getting is just crazy.
September 30, 200519 yr imo the new mag will smoke the HC in terms of efficency, my HC's always seemed to want @ least 1000watts to accomplish much of anything, but i've heard the new mags on 250 watts that freakin wanged
