if i hook up my magnum 15" to my phoenix gold tantrum 1200.1 will it be ok or should i buy a weaker amp??

You could always set the amp to produce less power...I've got my Tantrum running at about 1kW for my e12a.22.

you'll be just fine with that amp... it will do the Mag quite nicely.

just set your gains properly.

besides to get the full power out of that amp it needs 14.4v so the birthsheet that says 1400 watts or whatever is hard to get. So with properly set gains you should yeild about 1000 watts or so which is quite nice for the mag.

not saying it can't handle the 1200 watts, but imo, it doesn't need it

listening to a 12 in a cubic foot sealed w/ 250 watts, and WOOOOAAAAHHHH, i kid you not, it was loud enough for me in tirefryr(ryans) single cab truck....man are these boys efficent

I found out personally that 400 watts is plenty for daily needs for this sub
