which one would sound louder (spl) because i like the idea of having an 18 but i only have room for about 5 cubes so after diplacement and all that it would be in the 4cu/ft range like i know it would have more cone area but in a box too small for it btl would have the cooling and himax coil options

Figuring out what is loudest for your vehicle is totally up to you to figure out. I can't give you a ready mix = loudest enclosure for your car...that comes through trial and error and testing.

What we suggest is for a daily driving scenario...outside of that you are on your own. If I could tell you what would be loudest in your car I wouldn't have anything to do with speakers...because I would own every casino in Las Vegas :).

Point is..it's a crap shoot...so long as you stay within our guidelines you should be fine for a daily driver. Outside of that you are pretty much on your own.

good decision, a lot of people try to fit the biggest thing they can but don't have the right volume requirements...

yeah i could fi the 18 i have a jeep grand cherokee but i don't want my box to be seen because i still have the stock cargo cover and i don't want to fold my back seats down
