I currently have 2 Kicker Comps 10" (lol, I know) running at 150 RMS each in a sealed enclosure.

I have a Fi BL 12" on the way that will be powered by a Sundown SAE 1200d in a ported enclosure.

Just curious as to how much of a difference there should be? Should be a lot, hopefully.

I realize there is a lot of variables that involve this. But just ballpark it.

that bl will make the kicker comps sound like 6.5" mids :ehh:

That's a prety big difference in power there I would say it would get quite a bit louder but only when the instal is finish will you know. Great choice of sub and amp btw

Sweet.

Another question. My friend has this sub (link below) running at about 900 RMS. Even though he has more cone area, what would the comparison be? Btw, his is rather loud, makes my eyes vibrate. Ballparking again. Thanks.

Its almost impossible to tell. Its all so install dependent.

Same sub, same box and same power will give you different results depending of the car :electrical system, trunk or no trunk, hatch, car volume,...

I listened to a 15" xcon in a ported box in a very small car (an old Renault Clio) : it was incredible, sooo powerfull.

The same sub/box/power in my car (an hatchback car too, but way bigger) : I had much less output. I ended with a sealed box firing back, and I love it : I feel like it is more powerfull now !!! :peepwall:

So, we can't tell you how it will compare with your buddy's instal. You will have to test and to let us know !!please !

Will do!

Everything is on the way/ordered. Although I ordered the fi 7 days ago and it hasn't shipped yet :(

Its like going from ass to mouth with a really fat nasty guy... too getting dome from a playmate.

Their subs are made to order. There may be like 10 people that called right before you.

are you upgrading your electrical?

I've contacted excessive amperage and got a quote from them for a 200 amp alternator. $385.

Have already done the big three. I put a picture up. It's one of the first threads under the electrical/etc board.

The alternator will be the last thing I buy though.
