Posted August 17, 201015 yr Ok guys, I'm just looking for suggestions on tinting my taillights and headlights. I have an 08 Ford Escape and looking for a smoked or dark black look, but I want my brake lights to be decently visible. I'm wondering if you guys recommend any brands for pre-cut tints for head and tail lights. Or if you guys recommend any other ways to tint my lights, i'm open for it. Thanks and any suggestions are appreciated! Edited August 17, 201015 yr by nick9892
August 17, 201015 yr 1. you can use vht nightshades2.paint and clear mixture gives better results. It also is better to work with brand new lights. Don't know what it is about the old ones, but they don't turn out as good either way.I really don't suggest tinting your headlights. I would just buy the covers so you can remove them at night. Not going to look cool when you run head on into something because you cant see.

August 17, 201015 yr for the most part it isn't it's going to take many many shades and lots of wet sanding to get right! I'd suggest bringing it to a shop their paint is muchhh better than the Nightshade stuff.
August 17, 201015 yr I had a buddy with a 09 Honda Accord who put actual window tint on his headlights and tail lights. Maybe not the smartest idea to do it on the headlights seeing as how he said he had to drive with his brights on, but it did look pretty good. I know its made to be on the inside of your windows, but its been having fun with the lovely Ohio weather for the past 6 months without problems.
August 17, 201015 yr Yeah you can do it with tint, but automotive paint is the best IMHO. I've seen then nghtshade stuff Nd it just fades, doesn't look good. Etc etc
