First off, I am a wedding photographer, so I don't know shit about shooting cars. lol But this is how I spent my day... driving around and taking pics... it was pretty fun! :)

So here are buddy Nate's current rides. I don't know any specs. I just know they are stupid fast. I do know he had the Lightning's engine modded quite a bit and had it painted the same orange as the new chargers. Vette is pretty much stock and just blacked out.

We also played with another Red Vette, Dodge Viper SRT-10, and a custom Motorcycle that has a 350cc truck engine and NOS. That bike was insanely fast and loud! lol Last 5 pics are straight from the camera without editing done yet...

So here are some pics for all you HP freaks.... And don't mind the stupid links. Flickr just changed so now its a PITA to post pics and everything has to link back to them....

Got Toys?? :fing34:

Very sick black Vette!

If you don't mind me asking, what is some of your equipment that you shoot with? I am somewhat of an amateur myself.

Damn, Nate's got shit going on.

After rereading, The Black Vette and Orange Lightning are his, the red vette is another buddies, and the Viper and bike are yet another guys.... But yeah... He has money to play with. Next car he wants is a 2004 Lamborghini Murcielago painted Flat Black with black rims and tint. He has a thing for blacked out cars... lol

Awesome! I like me some Canon as well. I'm only 19 and a student, so I don't have the money for much, but I have a Rebel XT w/ grip, 28-105 3.5-4.5, 50 1.8, and the 70-200 4L (I would have loved to get the 2.8 IS, but I don't have nearly that much dough). I also have a Vivitar flash, but I think it is a piece of crap most of the time, tripod, mono pod, etc. Photography is a serious hobby of mine, but will only be that. Props to you for going all the way to shooting weddings. Much stress in that business.

SICK pics!!!!!!!!!

What would you recommend as an SLR camera for someone just starting out?

I want one badly but dont know everything to look for.

Honestly, just about any Canon or Nikon entry level DSLR is a night and day difference from a point and shoot quality wise. I like the new Canon T2i because the moved up the HD video option to 30fps in 1080p from 25fps and 60fps in 720p among a slew of other great features. The screens on the new camera's are amazing too! They have a higher resolution then a 4x6 print. So when you look at the screen its like looking at a print. Its pretty sweet!

Great website that is pretty much one of the top camera review sites in the world..... Lots of good info and test. You can also jump around reviews to specific things you are looking for or wondering about.

Beautiful pictures especially the blacked out Vette.

How was the first one done? Looks like some kind of an effect, similar to fish eye?

Wow! Great pics!

Love the shade of orange on that Lightning!

Thanks! :) Shot with a 17-40L on a full frame body at 21 mm. So it does distort a bit. This is what a 15mm fisheye looks like. 180 degree field of view. ;)

And thanks for all the comments everyone! Makes me wanna try shooting cars again, but in the style I shoot weddings... TONS of off camera lighting....

Nate the owner of the Lightning and black Vette doing some touch up when we got to the airport. Hard to tell, but he is 6' 9" and weighs a good 330!
