i already have one wasn't actually asking about purchasing one i use it for the voltmeter and the bass optimizer is nice on music without much bass output was just wondering if the spl meter was anywhere near close to real numbers

I wouldn't believe any of the SPL numbers out of that.

if u want, we could meetup sometime and we can do a direct comparison to find the difference in the epic160 compared to a true competition level meter.

If i am not mistaken, isn't the meter in that thing attached to the epic160?

If it is, you will never be able to use that to fine tune your system by having the meter In the dash.
