I know it isn't getting full excursion.

Probably because of a few factors (the speaker terminals were outputting 32volts instead of 34 during this test, AND, the sub hasn't been broken in at all yet)

But yet, a lot more output than previously.

Disclaimer: As you all probably know, the sub does not sound this absolutely horrible in person, it's just the mic (Especially "In the Air Tonight" xD). It sound clean, I promise.

do me a favor and put some electrical tape on your exposed wire please.

32V at 1 ohm should be ~1050 watts.

does your LOC have any settings on it? could we get a good picture of it?

The the volume on the iPod higher then, until you achieve 34 volts, then leave the iPod connected, wire up your subwooder terminals and play music on the iPod, tell us if the sub has more output after that.

Just got finished testing, I don't know what I was doing earlier but I was able to achieve 34 volts with the iPod at 3/4, hooked up the speaker wire, and wowwww. Much, much louder. I think I will go make a video on a few minutes.

Does this mean possible bad LOC or RCAs?

That's exactly what we wanted to know. I'm going to put my money on the LOC, but RCA's are cheaper to replace than buying a HU so test those first.

cheapo quality means cheapo sound....

I'm going to test some new RCAs tomorrow.

But I'll probably get the new HU anyways, as it'll be needed for a future component amp.

And it'll send a MUCH better signal..

And it just looks cool :peepwall:
