Posted September 25, 201014 yr Well originally I had a monster cassette adapter, worked well for 5 years, but as time went on, I got unlucky and one of my coworkers sliced the cord. So it still played, but only on the left speakers, it bugs me for a week before I decide to go to best buy and pick a new one up. Dynex or Rocket Fish? Both sound like crappy brands, lets get both! So I hook both of them up, they work, but are very quiet for some reason. I could listen to music at a normal level with them, but it required my H/U to be all the way turned up along with the ipod. So they both go back, and I go to a specialty store today, maybe 4 months after suffering with the monster one. It finally kicked the bucket 2 days ago, and now I buy a scosche. Plug it in and hear some Jeezy, what a relief. 2 seconds later, no more jeezy! Turns out it has a reel error, just what the fudge I need to deal with. try about 10 more times, and same problem. I get home, open it up, and see there is a piece of plastic molded in there that stops the gears from turning... So I get some dikes and cut it off, pop the player in and it works fine, but didn't get to test out if it gets as loud as the monster as my parents are home. Why is it that everything made today has problems? The sales guy kept saying "Everyone who gets one of these love them" and other crap like that, so I called the store back up and let him know that the tape player everyone loves is a piece of crap I had to modify for it to work out of the box. He says that maybe my cars sound system just needs some professional work done, not some hack job by an 18 year old kid who doesn't know what he is doing. I laughed at this comment.Well thats my rant, don't by scosche!
