Is this possible to transfer/copy songs from an iPod to someone elses computer?

We hooked the iPod up, iTunes opened, and we couldn't drag the files from the iPod into the library, desktop, etc. Couldn't copy the songs and paste them anywhere either. Remember, it's my iPod from my computer being hooked up to someone elses computer.

Thanks for any info.

Ive never played with an Ipod, but when you hook it into the computer does it display under "My Computer" like an external drive? I know with some mp3 players, you can access it that way and just drag the songs out of a folder into your real hd.

You need a different program. I remember reading that a program called ephpod could do it, but I am not sure what the best one to do this is.

Can you view it as a hard drive under my computer? That's how I used to do it.

iTunes purposely doesn't let you do it. Good ol' apple thinking ahead...people using it as a quick way to give mass music to other people or free...lol. Sucks.

it reads it as an external drive, but the music files dont seem to show up (for me at least).

I dont use itunes, but with winamp, I can right click one of the songs on my ipod, and pick copy to harddrive (or something to that effect).

I believe the folder is hidden.
