Thanks! the deadener was a little task but removing the fatmat was twice as hard. im very happy with SDS. the box fits so good, once i wrap it it should blend in nicely with the back of the truck.

Looks like it turned out real good. I figure that now that you've gotten and used the router with the circle jigs and other bits that you wonder how you ever built boxes without before, lol. It's been a long time coming and I'm REALLY glad it turned out so well. Gotta get with ya sometime and get all the skinny details on how it's sounding.

Can't wait to see it completely finished, it fits the truck so well!!

cup holder ftw.

two months away from the family...wow!

is that solid or at least some weekends?

Working with jacob right now about either getting 4 new 8s or more recone kits. ill have most of my tools with me so there is no reason i couldnt get some more work done while im gone. ill need something to do on the weekends.

hey man,

im bran new to the site, and i joined just to see your build. and i must say, its very nice.

i also have the crew cab, and i also have a child (she is 5), and with that, i have less room than you. as i need the room under my seat. im just doing a sealed box under the 40% seat with two eights.

so thanks for the insperation, i wil be following this for sure!

Well i got my new 4 sa-8s today from jacob and having all these drivers sitting here kindas make me want to try something a little stupid.

i have 4 saz3ks sitting at the house....i wouldnt.

  • Author

:banhim: if you dont. LOL

maybe 8 sa-8s on 6k. thats do-able

:captain: that is a must!!!!!
  • Author

i could do 4 under the seat on 3k and 4 on top of the seat on another 3k. just couldnt keep it like that often. plus i still need to recone my old 8s again

WOW, that would be wild, and not horribly difficult. The box for the extra 4 could be designed around being removable with the amp staying attached to it. You could use connectors like THESE to make/break the power and ground connections, though it would probably be best to use a whole set of connectors for each wire considering the 175A rating, that way you'd have 350A capacity through them, but it's DEFINITELY do-able!!
