Hello all, i have a question about a box design, i have always had beat in all my cars but i have never built a box before so this is going to be my first one, and i was wondering if this design would work or not, its going to go in a 96 blazer. thanks alot

a general rule is 12-16 sq in of port per cu ft. of box volume. lets say 14 sq ft. per ft. would be about 84 inches of port. your at 36sq inches..

Also is seems a little small for two 15s ported. what drivers are you going to use? that will determine what size box and how much port you will need.

You need a TON more port, you have them modeled to run in a leaky sealed box, not a vented enclosure.

Yes it will.

I'm planning a build with a few of these subs and I'm hoping to give each sub approx. 70cu" of port per sub and from what I've been told that is still on the low side. Deffinately give them some more port area. Good Luck with your build and keep us up to date with what is going on with it.

Go recheck that info with a 20mm Xmax, i beleive that is the spec on the SA15 and that will give you a completely different answer. With what you showed, and a 20mm Xmax it showed min. area at about 145"

oh ok i see now yeah i didnt know the xmax for them, now 145 is the min port area i need for the box right?

That's what is shows, but remember that is for min. port area, and ported at 35 may be a little high for daily.

What amp you gonna put on these??

Wired @ 1 ohm that should hit pretty good if you get the enclosure setup figured out like you want. Keep askin' questions and the answers will come, we all want the mostest from our setups.

i'm starting to think i dont have room for 2 15's in the blazer

Maybe you can try round flared ports ?

Ask Argent Audio or go to Part-express or Madisound for psp ports. You could save some space for your box.

It's what I did, and I like it !!!
