Posted October 24, 201014 yr I built my box today it is around 1.75cuft and I went ahead and sealed it.I took a old circle port out of a old box I bought and it is adjustable! I was like holy crap.. anyways I believe it is a 4" port and it adjusts from I believe 4 inches in length to around 10-12 inches. What would the length of the tubing need to be for lets say.. 30-32hz?
October 24, 201014 yr Author Um.. around 15-20sqin of port should be sufficient right?I can't figure out how much port area it will give me.

October 24, 201014 yr Depends on the driver and power. If you have a single 10" or 12" driver and a few hundred watts, it would be just fine.To figure out the length just use any of the free web based programs, you shouldn't have any issues getting close...
October 24, 201014 yr I agree that depending on the sub being used you will not have enough port, with the size(4") & length(10-12") you have with that port your freq. will be around 36-38Hz. If you don't have it here is a place to check some of what you are asking about: http://www.carstereo.com/help/Articles.cfm?id=31 Hope that helps, Good Luck!!
