Posted October 26, 201014 yr What's everyones thoughts/opinions on bass knobs?I'm using my factory HU and am in the market for a new sub amp, and was wondering if I should be looking for one that has a bass knob.
October 26, 201014 yr It's all personal preference. I wouldn't recommend one that is a bass "boost" knob though. And I think I'm speaking for 90% of the people on here when I say that. However, Bass level control knobs are fine, and I find them quite useful. I wouldn't base my purchase on an amp on whether or not it comes with a control knob though. You can always buy an RCA knob from almost anywhere and run it to any amp for cheap.

Gives me a lot more choices within my budget too.
October 26, 201014 yr bass knobs are bad never use them! gain knobs are the best things ever! rca control knob (mentioned above) cool to have and flexible!

October 26, 201014 yr BTW, I stated above I like bass knobs.. I need to correct myself. I meant to say I like the RCA and Gain knobs... all bass knobs (bass boost knobs) are NOT good. CrazyKen pretty much covered what's good and what's not.
October 26, 201014 yr Yeah, when someone tells me they put the bass boost knob all the way up because it makes it alot louder saddens me...However I love using my bass knob (gain knob).
