Inside the box, the port measures:

13 1/4" deep

and is the height of the box

You can see what i Mean by the port is the height of the box by this picture

Have you all figured out what it is tuned to?

Does your port curve at the end, like an "L" or is it straight back and then stops?

If it just stops and your saying the length is 13 1/8" and your box volume is around 4cubes, then your box is tuned somewhere around 41hz

the port wall pretty much just goes back and ends 13 1/8" deep inside the box.

I wouldnt put SSD's in an enclosure tuned to 41hz thats not a good recommendation for music, but to each its own. Unless your trying to set your enclosure a few hertz lower than your car's peak frequency for competitions. Get a box built for the sub or make one yourself, that will be your best option to get your sub to perform well and they way you like it.

This will just be a temporary setup until i build a new box and get a new amp. I just want to make sure it will be safe for the sub until then

Get a D2 subwoofer since you said your current amplifier is a 2 channel amp. Wire the sub to 4 ohms like the picture below:

the vr602 is a temp. amp and not sure what it's stability is. in the future i plan to get a sundown 1200d,, and as for the wiring, the last time a bought a sub (memphis m3 15) the car audio shop had it wired weird since it was a dvc

What Jay-cee is suggesting is correct about 40hz tuning for a daily box = bad idea. Tuning that high is for fart boxes. But as you stated this is just temp. As long as your ssf is set correctly then you can at least use the box for the time being (may not be great but hey)

As Jay-cee also said, get a dual 2 ohm driver and wire it as the picture is. Then when you get your 1200d you can rewire the sub down to 1ohm...

Well I'm not wanting to go too extreme in this car.. I will have later plans for a spl vehicle.

I will measure how much space i have keeping back seats and spare tire. brb with measurements
