getting two 12inch BTL's fully loaded, dual 2

whats the optimal cubic feet this box should consist of and optimal port size

  • Author

thats for one tweleve, im looking for the size and port for two

  • Author

once again, thats for one twelve, should i just double what they say is good for one?

exactly

Enclosures:
BTL 12 – Ported box we recommend using 1.75-2.5 cubic feet @ 30-35Hz (I personally think that a 32hz tuning is optimal, and has the most output and is still the most musical daily driving). Use 12-16 square inches of vent area per cubic foot of volume.

Since you need it for two 12's, double it.

Make sure you have an amp that does power at 2 ohms if your getting dual 2's.

Should you seperate the subs and have two seperate ports or should the subs occupy the same space with one large port?

And if you use seperate ports should they be next to each other or on seperate sides of the box?

I was also trying to figure out how to calculate the cubic feet in a ported enclosure and my numbers arent syncing with your guys. In the btl cut out sheet I did this (11.5/12) x ([30.75-0.75-0.75]/12) x (13/12) and get 2.53059895833 ft^3 not the 2.45 ft^3 the cut out sheet specifies. In my equation I subtracted .75 two time for both pieces of 3/4 mdf on both sides.

-thanx, jack
