Posted December 10, 201014 yr I'm trying to build a box for a single FI BL 15, fully loaded. I want it tuned around 32-33 hz. Also my trunk in my car is kinda small height wise, so I was wondering if it was possible to put the sub on the top of the box and lower the height a little bit so the sub doesnt get close to the top of the trunk. The port I want on the front. Is that possible? The dimensions I have so far are:Width - 32Height - 14Depth - 25Port Height - 12.5Port Width - 5Port Length 1 - 19.25Port Length 2 - 862.5 inches Total Port Area, 3.8 ft^3 for box. Tuned at ~32.Would it be possible to put the sub on top of the box with this design, and still have the port on the front?

December 13, 201014 yr Author Here's what I did with my BL. Is this what you mean by "sub on top port front?"Hope this helps Yeah that's exactly what I wanted to know. Thank you!The trunk height in my car is about 16 inches, so should I make the box 14 inches tall, so the sub doesn't hit the top? Just to be safe
December 14, 201014 yr 14'' will be too tall if you figure the sub itself is another 1.5 to 2 inches plus excursion. 12 to 13 inches will as high as I would go if the trunk is only 16 tall.
