January 19, 201114 yr Is there a ground loop problem? Yes. Will a ground loop isolator fix it? No. (side note, a ground loop isolator will also cut off low end and high end frequencies on the signal). Now to fix the problem, you need to run a ground wire, 16 ga will be fine, from the chassis of the Behringer amp to the vehicle chassis or battery ground. One of the screws on the plate might do it. The inverter is causing the noise. Edited January 19, 201114 yr by ibanender
January 19, 201114 yr did you try to run an extension cord to the car so you could eliminate the dc/ac converter for making noise? also no don't take anything apart lol what ibanender was getting at from what i understood, go to the back of the belringer aka the plate amp and unscrew 1 of the screws and attach a piece of 16awg wire to that screw then screw it back in then ground that 16awg wire out on the carwill this quick fix work... maybe who knows!
January 19, 201114 yr This is awesome. The pictures were EXACTLY as expected. FTW Rock on bro!At least he doesn't have to worry about anyone stealing his stuff...
January 19, 201114 yr lol no one would steal that lol! i don't know it is in plain sight and that belringer is nice for home audio.. lol
January 19, 201114 yr lol no one would steal that lol! i don't know it is in plain sight and that belringer is nice for home audio.. lol Might get electrocuted in the process. I love the custom fabrications to the rear head rests. best part imo.
January 19, 201114 yr ya, that speaker in the back has to go... i dont get it.. kinetik.. us amps..looks like some decent 1/0.. and then the rest... even cut the shit out of the back seat headrests lmao. i see potential still if you ditch the inverter and that speaker/amp. didnt expect to have pictures to go with this one. awesome!
January 19, 201114 yr ya pictures are a plug lol and I backed up the pictures just incase they get deleted lol!
January 19, 201114 yr as funny as i find this thread its cool we got guys here to help him out with this issue. to each their own i guess
January 20, 201114 yr Author i can try a filter for the power wire tooill try stuff friday thats when ill see him againthis guy does have really good home audio stuff the think he spend like 3000 on equipment his whole basement is like all speakersI love the custom fabrications to the rear head rests. best part imo. i guess ill have to try to sew some carpet on there Edited January 20, 201114 yr by markak134

I'm 99% sure it will solve that problem because I had the same issue with a computer in a vehicle used in a similar manner. If you think about it and understand circuits and ground loops, it'll click.
January 20, 201114 yr 8awg would be a bit big but it would still work hell 18awg might work also lol.keep in mind how small the screws are on the plate amp right! will 8 work yes will 16 work yes will 1/0 work lol yes all it is is to isolate or try to isolate the noise out of the setup!
January 20, 201114 yr does it have to 16 awg i only have 8It's not carrying a load, just isolating the loop. I was using 16 ga as an example of it doesn't need to be large, virtually any size will be sufficient as long as you can make secure connections. If it doesnt' do it on the first try, try another point on that plate amp.
