Posted February 12, 201114 yr Picked up an accord a few months back. Didn't get to put any audio in it right away since it needed some minor TLCDealer picNowfixed up all the small dents and dings. So far ive addedOem lip kit + new bumperBlacked out the headlights + added projectors & 6k hid'sAcura TL wheels powdercoatedAmr coiloverstint/visorsinjen intakedc sports race headergreddy se exhaustNow onto audioPioneer z110btRockford 3sixty.3(when it releases)ID xs 65'ssundown 100.4SA 15sundown 1200I got the majority of the car sound deadened. I wanted a quiet cabin so i did the floors, roof, rear pillars, & trunk area with rammat + second skin luxury liner. Next is to pull out the entire dash and spray it with spectrum. The majority of the noise is coming from the engine/firewall area so i need to figure out what to put there. I also did the wiring with knu. Big 3 in 0, 0 from batt to distro, 0 from distro to the 1200 and 4 gauge to the 100.4. Xs power batt on the way & Alternator down the road if needed. Speakers will be ran passive for now bridged on the 100.4 since i have no processing. I'll go active once i get the 3sixty.3 Now onto the sub box. This is what i'm looking forloud & lowMinimal trunk rattlingI spoke to a couple friends and they told me a 4th order bandpass is what i need. Is that what's right for me? I know i'll get a lot of rattling ported or sealed so that's out the question. This will also be a very very slow build as i go to school pt time & work 2 jobs Edited February 12, 201114 yr by shameless
February 12, 201114 yr No comment on the setup for the subwoofers yet... But dayum that ride is nice and clean dude! I have looked into 4th order but size is what made me steer from it. I cannot give up trunk permanently...
February 12, 201114 yr Nice looking ride!!! Awesome transformation pic!! Really like the ride height, seems to have a great looking stance! You seem to have a good list of audio components and the electrical sounds like it is solid and you are aware of the upgrades that may be needed. Would like to see more!

I assume regular sound deadening will peal right off since it gets hot there, correct? I'd also like to treat the wheel wells with something since a lot of noise comes from that area. Being lower to the ground with thinner tires increases road noise too
February 12, 201114 yr Afaik SDS tiles should be fine.. I have some installed on a buddy's firewall and no issues so far.. I was more worried about the cold causing the stickiness to loosen up since we have had such a shitty winter.. but so far its good... This was on a Miata..EDIT: I would also assume that MLV might do a great job deadening the firewall from the inside... Use industrial velcro to hold it up...
