I'm thinking about just a simple 2way instead.

Dual Extremis in eachdoor coupled by ID CD2's.

If you're going to do that, I'd consider a 2.5way :D

Have one pair of extremis dedicated soley to midbass (say...60hz-250hz), one pair playing the full midbass/midrange region (around 60hz to 1khz), then the horns taking car of ~1khz up.

Takes care of some problems that may arise from running dual midrange drivers....

I was very impressed with the Lotus Mids I have. Steve, Tom and I discussed my install. I am looking into a pair of extremis for 60-150hz, the lotus 150-2khz, and which ever tweet I decide on (horns are choice too).

Yeah what you have now...even with the Xover...there's a lot of useable freq's that overlap in all the drivers.

Dual extremii...I don't think ou realize the output. One pair and horns would be sufficient. The XXX would work just as well with horns... and would be easier to power in car b/c they are 2ohm.
