what kind of electrical is need to power a saz-3500? does anyone have experience with db-electrical.com? i saw a HO alternator on their site for $259

HO alternator on DB-r site? can you link it???

From some reviews I would steer away from db-electrical.com, remember you get what you pay for. If your looking at an HO Alternator, look to spend $300-350 or better.

My badd.... I misread that and thought DB-r ... I've never seen this site b4...

Dude nobody knows the answer to this question, every electrical system is different and will respond different. There are too many factors to decide if it will be enough or if you will have more than enough. Your best bet is to install an HO alternator, upgrade your main battery and then install a volt meter. Depending on what size alternator you get and starting battery, a second battery may or may not be needed. But all this will be determined by your listening habits, competing or daily and so on. If your competing then the more battery juice you will want and the same if your planning on doing a lot of demos.

db-electric alt's arent that good, i have one on my tahoe and im not happy with it. the idle amperage is very low. Im only running a SAZ 1500d with 2 Kinetik HC2000's AND a 220 Amp alt from them. when i dont have it revved up my stock voltage gauge reads very low. i would never buy another one of there products again. They are cheap but as said above, you get when you pay for and out of my entire system the db-electric alt is the thing i regret most.

OH i didnt know i thought dual batteries was manditory

8 out of 10 times they are especially with a 3500D but nobody can tell you exactly what models and how many. You may do 5 minute trips to work or have to drive 30-45 minutes to work. You may like to listen to your music on full tilt 80% of the time or you may be the person who keeps it at a moderate volume. It just all depends but yes I would look at getting two batteries, just saying you dont know if you will need two at first. I would budget to get two and install everything first with one then determine if you need a g31 sized battery or something smaller for reserve.

Save up another $100-200 to get a really good dependable alternator.. you don't want to have to regret cutting corners on the alternator.

lol, you sure dont. trust me :) next alt will be DC no questions asked.

I know I'm not going to be competing as for listening habits I like to have the volume at moderate level then maybe then it up at a red light...whats a good battery to have up front a kinetic 2400 or something with a little more power
