Posted February 26, 201114 yr This is just a quick post on a S10 ext. cab that my son and I help a freind put together. He already had the subs (in a not so good box sealed). He had not done anything to help the electrical, and was very shy on amp power. So we did the Big 3, gave the boxes more air space, and he purchased a pair of affordable matching amps. Here are a few shots of the Big 3 electrical additions:By sefugi at 2011-02-26By sefugi at 2011-02-26By sefugi at 2011-02-26By sefugi at 2011-02-26By sefugi at 2011-02-26Pic of the enclosure/amp rack. FlyBoy wanted the amps to mount between the subs at an angle, so we did our best. Sorry we don't have more pics, but were not planning a build log. Did want to share a little of what we do other than huge projects.By sefugi at 2011-02-26Here are a few shots of everything installed. Turned out pretty well for minimal investment.By sefugi at 2011-02-26By sefugi at 2011-02-26By sefugi at 2011-02-26By sefugi at 2011-02-26By sefugi at 2011-02-26By sefugi at 2011-02-26By sefugi at 2011-02-26By sefugi at 2011-02-26Sub enclosures are about 1.25net each tuned to about 33/34htz.Subs are the Sony Xplod 330 watt Power Acoustik Staxs AmpsNow that this is up I'll do my best to get up a vid.

February 26, 201114 yr Author I may have asked before, but where do you get your carpet?I get it at a local apolstry(spelling) in town. Non-backed and very stretchy. Easy to use, probly cheating cause it covers so well.
March 17, 201114 yr I somehow missed this build, enclosure / rack came out great. Looks like a mini home theater tower behind the seats Just goes to show you don't need tons of money and fancy equipment to have something nice.

The larger enclosures and being ported really made those subs shine! I'm sure the wiring upgrades helped as well.
March 17, 201114 yr Author Awesome build! your attention to detail is great. Hoping to get this guy and my son slowed down to get a few vids.
March 25, 201114 yr Cannot believe I missed this build!Great job on the the install. Everything looks great! Porting those Sony's should have made a big difference in output.

They were strangled in a box that might be good for an 8" and i won't say it was sealed either.
March 25, 201114 yr Author Has to smoke how it was before, nice work! What, no sand? Seriously, Thanks!
March 25, 201114 yr Missed this one.Dang Bro, you are going to need your own section on here.Looks nice, as usual.
March 25, 201114 yr Good looking install. I don't know if you've done this but a nice alt upgrade for those truck is switching over to the AD244 alt that came on later model truck and suburbans up to 2005 I think. They are good for 100 amps at idle and 145 at speed.
