Posted March 8, 201114 yr Okay, I will be finished up my box tonight and had a few questions before I close it all up and get it hooked up.*I've seen online that it says to put weatherstripping around the hole for the sub before putting the sub in the box? This true?*And I've seen people use resin on the inside or their boxes to help the structure? This true aswell? Thanks for the help and thanks to everyone that has helped throughout my first build!!
March 8, 201114 yr Resin inside the box I would avoid as I don't see any real benefit. As far as weather stripping it may not hurt if you do not have the rubber gasket that surrounds the edge of the basket.
March 8, 201114 yr Author Im pretty sure they do have a rubber gasket but I'll have to check later. Thanks for the advise guys!!
March 8, 201114 yr If you feel air leaks around the subwoofer and where its mounted then add weather stripping to fix the seal better.Bracing helps the structure not resin.
