Posted March 13, 201114 yr Hello all my name is Kevin, my nickname is Zeus, i used to comepete car audio about 11 years ago in an association called meca, back then my thing was low wattage(under 300 watts) and single driver setups...My woofers used were 1 earthquake ls 18, and my amp of choice were a us amps 50 in (0-200 consumer class) 2 earthquake ls 18's & 1 us-amps vlx-25(killer wattage but rated low as h*ll), Now its 2011, went through a marriage, went through a divorce, had a son(greatest gift i have ever been allowed to have + joint custody), bought a house, got a dog, bought and sold many many vehicles, started dating my ex-wife again(not getting re-married until 2031), and finally found a keeper vehicle(2005 Scion XB). its actually my second xb in 5 years. As of right now, double din dvd player, 7" headrest monitors, rear view mirror monitor,...........plans were a dd audio 1508 8" subwoofer, but then saw the SA-8 on you tube, and i am sold...not looking to compete just looking for a low key driver to do the "WOW" factor in the xb, as for amps not really sure, mids & highs are boston acoustics..... Hope to be part of this forum for a long time, hopefully i can learn some new things on here, my favorite quote,"knowledge is gained by listening"
March 13, 201114 yr You came to the right place my man Nice to hear a little background about yourself, most people that join (including me) never go into detail about themselves except "Hi I'm so and so, and I like bass"For an 8" driver, the sa8s are great, a pair of those wouldn't take up too much room and they'd have a very nice wow factor. My guess is you'll want to run under a 1000watts so you don't need to upgrade your battery / add a battery to the rear / upgrade to a better alternator.Any how, surf around the forum, use the search function (you'll find tons of information, an answer to almost everything hah), and make posts See ya around.
