well its under my seat in my nissan titan and it would kinda push up one side and misalign the seat so i figured if i got the box to go all the way across (which i figure is about 2 cubic feet) then it would line the back seat up

I think two cubes should be fine, Just remember mechanical handeling will go down when increasing box specs

Your just guessing its 2cubes? mmkay... I'd measure everything and have some real dimensions to calculate gross volume, then subtract bracing, port, and driver displacement.

im just not sure how i would make the back seat line up, there are two separate sections on the back seat of a nissan titan

actually it wouldnt be quite 2 cubic feet, between 1.5-1.8

i measured out one side with an extende piece and it was 1.1 cubic feet but that was not subtracting the actual sub, bracing, port

Perhaps you should post some pictures so we can better understand what your talking about.

Well you've already went back and forth on what the volume would be, but either way driver displacement, port displacement, and bracing displacement will help you out in this case.

On a more serious note, you can most definitely have the ssd 10 in a 2 ft cubic box. You just have to be careful with overexcursion and other issues. If you are conservative with your volume and gains you should be alright. Unfortunately, I dont know enough about the physics to inform about how it will affect output but Im sure you will be fine as long as you dont push the driver to hard.

No, don't. Doesn't mean you can't build the box that way. Not like you will get anywhere near 2cuft anyways.

Build the box. Then measure it exactly. Put in enough hard stuff to compensate for the extra volume and make it back to the range Fi suggests. Problem solved.

Adding to what M5 is saying, once you measure it and know how much volume you need to fill up in the enclosure, you could glue in two panels in the inside forming a L, it could run the width of the box and take up that volume.

i think ill just do that
