I have a FI SSD 15. (bp power, flat coil)

I currently have it in a 18x18x38 box tuned to 34-36hz somewhere in there. aprox 4 cubes.

Im thinking of building a new box, what should i tune it to, and how many cubes?

i find my box has a slight bit of port noise because there are no 45s and it doesnt go as quite low as i want it to.

Iv heard other ssd 15's hit harder than mine, so im trying to squeeze every thing i can out of the sub.

also with the box the way it is now, what should my Amp be set at? Lowpass and subsonic?

If it matters: its going in a crew cab GMC, powered by a AQ1200.

thanks, in advance all help is appreciated

as far as db go, you think the max recommened air space will achieve that?

yes, :morepower1: more "pressure" to the ear. Im not really worried about sound quality.

but would it really hurt the quality all that much?

No, a properly done box will yield higher "SPL" and be great sounding.

Anymore specs on your box? Are you comparing yours to Andrew's?

no not really, my box has a slight higher tune, but we recently put logans 12"SSD in a ported box and his slams just as hard.. me and andrews sound a good bit diffrent. he also has 45's in his port..... i dont know i guess because my truck is a bit bigger and there vehicles are smaller... i really want to get another 15 pretty soon.

Your truck is much bigger, that would have a huge effect on the sound.

When you are getting the second woofer?
