i have a FI SSD 15, the last generation with all the add ons. I want to get another FI SSD 15 to be louder, BUT will it make a difference if i bought a new one with the NEO magnet, I realy dont want to miss match woofers.

So will it make a difference if i bought a new one with a neo magnet and run it with the one i have now without a neo magnet, if so what difference will i notice? and will it be a big one?

ya but like i dont have the money just to buy 2 more 15's to match.... what will be the difference if i chose to do it?

Sell the old one and get 2 new ones !!!

I would not mismatch speakers, but I can't tell you why ! It's just me !

The T/S specs are different, it could either sound decent or it could be a complete fail.

Sell the 15", buy some mo.

ya thats what i was thinking bc around here i can get more than what i paid for the sub.. espesially if I sell it with the box.

Im not a fan of mis matching neither.... i dont want to buy a used one bc i dont like buying used subs.

another frend said email Fi see if they could change my magnet to a neo and order another on or see if they could make me one without a neo magnet.

I am in the same boat as you. I plan on running 4 12 ssd but mine are the double slug versions. Nick told me that they a different enough that they will not work together. So I am either going to sell mine and buy 4 of the neos or see if anybody has ones to match mine that they are willing to sell.

What kind of coils do you have now. I have two SSDs (last gen) in the for sale section that are fully loaded and are D1s.

copper flat wind i think they are called, no im looking for D2's, it sucks that they changed it, i emailed them see if they could build me custom to match the one i have now or see if i could send mine off get it reconed and the magnet changed to the newer one

Yeah the ones I have are two months old and have the bp power, flatwind coil, and cooling options. What final impedance are looking for?

well im looking for 1ohm which isnt possible, so if i did get another it be .5 ohm or 2 ohm...... i dont have enough amp with 1200aq to push two 15's at 2ohms, and im not gonna run it at .5 ohms, so the only other option i have is if i sent it to fi got it switch, and then have them build me another with the old motor and magnet, i emailed them earlier they said they could bc they got a few last gen motors and magnets, but im not looking to spend that kind of money. So I AM A stick with my 1 15, then maybe later on sell it and get a diffrent set up maybe a btl or something..........
