Hi im looking for all the possible options of alternators for a 1991 Corolla 1.6L 4AFE engine. Also wanted to know if you make custom alts. I need at least 130amps at idle and not less than 240amps at full output, can it be done? Thanks. And quotes please shipped to 00744.

Gio, your really pushing the limits of what your looking for on that car.. Just based off experience I dont think even if the alternator was capable of 130 amps at idle, your motor wouldn't turn it. Modern motors do because they compensate much better for load, but the older ones wont.. We can do something in that output range, but you won't get the idle output your looking for (in any alternator) because of your engine limitations.. Rob

Its just that you make an alternator thats for my car and its 130 amps at idle and 180 full output but i needed it to be at least 240 amp full output. Btw im currently using a GM large case 140amps and running 3 amplifiers about 3100 watts rms total power combined and sometimes my volts drop to 11.2v at full tilt using 2 kinetik batteries one 2400 and one 1800 big three, power and grounds all with 2/0 welding cable. In the future im planning on upgrading my amplifiers so any help will be appreciated.

You need more battery reserve with all that power.

So instead of a high output alternator you suggest another battery? Thanks.

No. You need the ho alt and more batteries.

Gio, if you already have a GM alt in there, send me a pic of your setup. The hardest part of doing a conversion like that is the bracket work, which you already have done. If I can see how yours is setup, I'm pretty sure I can get you what your looking for, and get it pretty quick. Rob

I used the upper bracket of a Gm car dont know wich one but i would like it to be better cause right now im using a 4G belt on a 6G pulley and the upper bracket is holded with only one screw to the motor. And between the alt upper ear and the bracket theres an space of about half inch in wich i used a nut to fill the gap to be able to thigten the upper screw of the alt. sorry for my bad english. Thanks.
