Posted November 26, 200519 yr I'm looking into maybe getting an active crossover. I've found Audiocontrol and that seems to be a bit of a fan favorite on here. I was just wondering if anyone else reputable makes them? I can find tons of boss, pyramid, etc but no names that i recognize. (this will be for mids/tweets, sub isn't necessary)
November 26, 200519 yr I'd recommend against Audiocontrol's analog pieces.....PITA resistor packs and not very user friendly. Anyways....how much are you looking to spend?
November 26, 200519 yr Author i don't know really, nothing is ever set in stone with me. If its a higher price it'll have to wait longer to be bought is the only thing. I know thats not much of an answer, but its all i gots. Basically I'm thinking of putting together a component system like dave was showing me instead of just buying a comp set, but not all at once since the individual components were pricey. But if I went that way i'd want an active setup. wow i just realized how confusing that was...i'm thinking about buying the orion component setups, but an alternative is buying sep woofers then tweets and then active crossovers. I'm just not sure how much money i'm wanting to dump into the system. Anddddd today my engine started this high vibration thing...like a 100hz tone being played kind of vibration so i might not be buying anything, lol.
November 26, 200519 yr I have a Coustic XM6 laying around, let me test it and I"ll sell it cheaper than ebay
