hey guys... i was just looking around for a HU for next build. and came across the Alpine CDA-117.

i see that it has 4v preamp voltage. (F, R, and sub)

i like the display...

anyone personally use this? any opinions on this? and whats a decent price for this HU new? used? (crutchfield link posted below)

What do you need it to do?

im going to be running (most likely)

2 saz3000Ds

2 18"zcons

a 100.4 with 2 sets of Hertz HSK165s.

honestly, not sure what i need it to do. :/

i have never really looked into all the filters etc.

from what ive heard, 4v preamps>2v. and it does have 4v.

Sean, what should i look for in a head unit?

And no plans on going active any time soon.
