Posted May 7, 201114 yr So I need to weigh out my options as far as enclosures go... I had the idea to go sealed first and ported later... Depending on money and what not..Carpet color choices: Black, Gray, Salt and Pepper/CharcoalPort/Flush Mount Colors: Black, Red, Blue, WhiteAlso when posting a thread please include this info:Vehicle Make and Model: 2003 Toyota CamryDirect of Box/Subs: Idea is to fire into the cabinSealed or Ported: portedNumber of Subs: 1 subwooferBrand and Model of Subs: SSA XconMax Dimensions: 16.5H x 33W ; depth is not a major concernPort Color: white portCarpet Color: charcoalZip Code for Shipping Quote: 08816Any other notes: I would like terminals on left or right side, not backside. Would like pricing for double baffle and single... aero ports can be done as well... if needed or saves spaceWhat would a sealed enclosure run me at 4.25 cubes? Just curious.... with and without double baffle..Thanks,Danny
May 7, 201114 yr I want to make sure I understand this correctly, are you just going to fold your back seats down and fire the box into the car?Andrew
May 7, 201114 yr Author I have a 60/40 split so I would be putting them down almost 100% of the time while driving around and whatever. If I find myself not doing so, I will just turn it around to face toward the trunk opening... Hence the reason for wanting the terminals on left or right sides only... I was thinking port into cabin and subwoofer toward trunk opening but apparently I was told cancellation issues would possibly occur...
May 7, 201114 yr Author I won't be sealing off the trunk unfortunately because I find myself having to run errands for the parents alot and that sometimes requires removal of the box...
May 7, 201114 yr Ok so just a standard ported enclosure. I put the terminals on the side anyway so your good to go there Also I'm assuming you have a 12 inch Xcon?Andrew
May 12, 201114 yr Ok here is what I came up with:22 deep16.5 tall31.25 wide3.75 @ 33HZDouble baffleAndrew
May 12, 201114 yr Author This is aero I assume since it is not HUGE like a motha fudger???Can it be tuned at 30hz ?PM me price please sir.... to 08816
May 12, 201114 yr Author oh wow.... Just realized it was 22 inches deep... lolz... How muchies for me???
May 12, 201114 yr Author Can we go deeper? If I'm gonna do it, might as well do it to optimal specs... 4 cubes @ 30hz? Shipped to 08816
May 12, 201114 yr I personally think 4 is a bit too large. 3.75 is just fine for the Xcon. In all my years of building boxes just a tad under the max is best. Andrew
May 13, 201114 yr Ok, I'll take your word for it... Pricey price price???$195 plus shipping. I will get you a shipping quote tomorrow when I get into the office. Andrew
May 22, 201114 yr Author Andrew,Just to make sure, that is:22 deep16.5 tall31.25 wide3.75 @ 30hz Double baffleI would like 30hz since the amplifier I will have soon will be at a fixed SSF of 28hz. so I don't want any mechanical issues/failure cuz the box is tuned too high. And just out of curiosity, how much port area is that? I been reading hear and there and would like to be well informed of what I am purchasing. Damn... Not that I don't think your work is worth it but I don't know if I could afford that mainly after shipping. I'm all the way out on the East Coast .... How bad is shipping? I'm about to shit myself just thinking about how costly shipping would be....... Thanks,Danny

May 23, 201114 yr Yes those dimensions are correct!I can tune it to 30 HZ. The width will just get a tad bigger, closer to your max width of 33 inches. I put in 100 lbs for this shipping quote and it came out to $135. Andrew
May 23, 201114 yr Author Thanks Andrew. Will let you know in about a day or 2. Just curious, if build starts say June 1st about what TAT am I looking at? 2 weeks? 3 weeks? Thanks.- Danny
