so... i was at BestBuy the other day. just looking. and came across the cda-117. ive always liked the look of the unit and the fact that it has 4v pre-outs...

well, i looked at the price and it said $177 clearance. (this means once they are out... they're out) so get it while you can!

i was like WHAT!?!

so i bought it on an impulse buy. lol. its about #50 from Crutchfield. and lowest i can find is about @285 from an UN-authorized dealer.

i was honestly gonna buy the other 2 they had when i got my paycheck and resell for profit... but the were gone. (2days later.)

Yep, been on clearance for a little while now. I never had a single one sold in my store. Not everyone that comes into Best Buy is gonna want to pay 300 bucks for a radio.

I just installed one of these along with the pxa-h100 Friday. Got a good deal, but not this good.

It sucks you have to spend another $100 to be able to run active now, but I decided I wanted a new unit with warranty and USB instead of buying a used one.......... so it is what it is I guess.

As for the HU, I really like it so far. SQ is really very good.

Yea I can't wait to install mine. Although I will be running passive for now. I like the rear usb vs front that way I can hide my ipod in the glove box. and 4v pre-outs are always nice.

Just finished the install. And wow! What a sound quality difference! Is it the 4v pre-outs that make that much of a difference!???
