recieved my alt yesterday, but i couldnt get on the forums because of a massive storm that cut out our power, i havent installed it yet, but it looks pretty beefy and very well made. just wanted to thank you guys for a fast delivery and an awesome alt although i havent used it yet.

I've been researching a good bit on alts lately, one major plus I like about DC is they cast and machine their own cases.

As some factory designs have flaws when upgrading to put out more power, DC takes care of this. Also, they use a different Stator for there XP line, which I've looked around and nobody uses them unless its what your factory alt has.(I assume).

I just wish they would improve in a few areas of their business. I know they can't control some of it, but I think they lose a good bit of car audio business cause of it.

Edit- I didn't read page 2 before I posted this. I didn't pay any attention that there was another page, so that's why it might seem out of place.

But on a side note, free upgrade FTW.

nah, i did end up recieving the 250 XP, but thats ok, im not mad about it, it really wasnt expecting it anyway, the 250 XP will give me more then enough amperage for what im running, hell i probably would of just bought the 180 HP alt if it was in stock.

Curt, I Promise you without any doubt you got a 270, despite what the label may have said.. I had to build it because the one we had in stock actually got sold earlier that day so I had to hurry and build one. It may have gotten labeled 250, but it was definitely a 270.. Sorry about the confusion.. Rob

just got my alt in, very happy with it so far, its charging at 14.2 which is perfect for me. i dont really have a huge load on it now, just an AQ1200D and a MB quart dsc4125, and just running a kinetic HC2000 as my starting battery, no addition batteries, and my voltage doesnt even budge at all full tilt with a/c on and all lights on, but the real test is when i get my new amp, the AQ2200D and then hopfullly next income tax, another 2200D strapped :).

just wanted to say thanks for an awesome ordering experience, wicked fast shipping, and an incredibly well built alternator! i will defiantly come to you guys when i need a new alt for my next vehicle!

good to hear... I just put a aux battery in and was thinking of cancelling my DC Power order... Expense is HUUUGE... but since the casing apparently can be "re-built" for a different model car I figured it would stay with me a while.... we'll see what happens....

BTW.... any pictures??? please get some, we wanna see what you got going on... even if it is messy....lol

trust me, you dont want to see my setup right now, its a complete mess and all temporary as far as sub/amps go, im using an old box i made 2 years ago and have used it in my past 2 vehicles, its my first box i ever built, its too small for the sub, its tuned to high and it just sucks, and the wiring is a complete mess, i dont want to embarrass myself by posting pics of it, but when my sub comes in ill post pics in the build log section and try to get a couple pics of the box build as well, and then everyones favorite part, a video or 2 :) it should all look clean when im done, but i didnt want to waste time making it look for for 2 weeks then just tear it all out again.

Edited by curt96olds

you're gonna tear it all out to put a new box in???
