So not much of an update. But i figured I'd let you guys know that i ordered my new re-cone this morning. And tomorrow i'm going to order a new HU. Lookin for a nice Kenwood KDC - X995. As i've been in love with it since the first time i saw one.

Just wantin to keep you guys up on whats goin on. And i have to figure out my Relay situation so i can wire up my voltmeter finally. lol.

So update real quick. I ordered my New Kenwood KDC X995. It should be here tomorrow sometime. then i'll get that guy in there and tuned sometime soon. Hopefully It'll be better than my Clarion. And the Clarion is for sale now. lol. Also. I'm lookin into upgrading my Front stage finally.

I've been debating between 3 different sets of components for a while now. The Incriminator Audio components, Crescendo comps, or a set of image dynamics.

I've heard good things bout Crescendo off HU only. which is why I'm strongly considering them. I haven't heard anything bout Image Dynamics at all.

and the IA i haven't heard much except they don't reach potential until they're amplified. Which i don't wanna do an amp right now. So this is why i'm having trouble deciding. Opinions are greatly appreciated.

You do have a good point. Lol. But I'd also be dreading the pain in my dick its gonna be to put that amp in the truck and wire it.

I think that you're misinformed. Any comp. set is going to sound better amplified than not. Are the crescendos even available? Last I knew they were getting revised, but they could still have some in stock, worth checking that out before anything if you haven't already.

Don't understand why you don't think that the IA set won't compare to the crescendos on HU power. You haven't heard them. Online reviews are pointless.

This is why i havent bought yet. i'm ill informed on what i should be informed on before i buy.

Finally got this bad boy in today.

Just a lil info. I did solder and shrink wrap my harness again. I feel its nicer that way. This HU comes with build in Blue Tooth. So i mounted the mic for it right next to the driver sun visor. I have yet to try it out. So idk how well it actually works there. We'll see eventually. lol.

And lastly. A pic of it all light up at night. Had to wait a while before i could take this one. and It was after i figured out a few things. Like how to change my colors.

This HU definitely made a huuuge difference in how everything sounds and plays in my truck.

And is all around more responsive and easier to work with for me than my old one. Thank you Kenwood!! :drink40:

Nice unit, I'm getting ready to have to buy a new one I think since mine is cd only and I don't think it's going to play nicely with the big bass, my fingers are crossed though.

I would Highly recommend this HU. Other than the EQ is a lil intimidating because its all new to me. Has a 5 band EQ. Doesnt say like. "high, mid, bass" says "band1-5" So confused. lol. Still workin out all the kinks and stuff. I has a full on set up for position of speakers from the HU. Shit like that. Its pretty amazing. the colors are fully adjustable. Via like 30 diff preset colors. You can make it all one color. Or have it like mine diff color for the buttons than the display. Its pretty awesome.

And thanks Brownm3. It hasnt been movin too much lately. But hopfully i'll be wrappin it up before too long. With a new Recone, some testing and tweeking. Then finish up my voltmeter. And i think i might be done.
