im looking on getting an audiopipe amp because money is tight for me right now. but i want to know what the difference is between the ap and aqx series. both do rated?

Someone?

Not sure what the differences are, but I've seen people using mostly the AP line. I'm looking at getting the AP-10001D for my Chaos.

Someone?

from what i understand the aqx is the new line supposed to be better ?

but the ap line has been tried and tested to do almost rated and is cheaper

So what would you guys recommend me getting. Ap or aqx. I'd either get a Ap1500 or aqx1200 or something.

I was going to go with the ap line as i found the rms of the aqx line to be lower

of course i went a different way entirely though lol

I would go aqx line over the ap line, those 300 watts wont be noticed to ear or on meter.

So Ap- 1 aqx- 1. It's a tie. Anyone else with experience or thoughts.

last i heard the AQX line was discontinued.

One is a Class D Mono Block AP-1000D the other is a Class AB Mono Block AQX-1000.1

thats what i thought thats why i said ap

The aqx1200 is class d. Soooo...

I ordered the AP10001D this afternoon.

One is a Class D Mono Block AP-1000D the other is a Class AB Mono Block AQX-1000.1

I LOL'd at this (quoted from the first link):

• Output Power (RMS):

1 Channel @ - 300W

1 Channel @ - 700W

1 Channel @ - 1000W

  • Author

Lol that's not a so efficient amp them

• Output Power (RMS):

1 Channel @ - 300W

1 Channel @ - 700W

1 Channel @ - 1000W

i noticed this too lol there aqx1200 has typo too lol

to the OP i would stick with the ap15001d its tried and true !!

Wow looks like AP needs to proof read the web site!

I have heard nothing bad about the AP series and a few members here on the forum have had good luck with them.

Go with the AP series.

I'm using my ap15001 temporarily as well. I paid 150, and can almost guarantee I'll get that on craigslist when I'm ready to order my sundown. Can't be beat for $150 in my opinion.

i feel it man. how is that amp treating ya tho

I have owned 2 AP1500's and haven't had any issues at all.

And to the AP vs APX; The Punisher Geo tried out the APX 3500.1 vs the AP3k and in just one show one of the APX 3500.1 took a dump. The AP3k's went through plenty of demos and shows.

I would be willing to sell mine actually (AP1500). PM me for details.
