Posted December 31, 200519 yr Hi there, I'm new to the forum (registered a while ago - but this will be my first official post), and I thought it'd be a good idea to show you guys what I've got.The internals of the 1100T I know it's identical to the new DE-1000...but this is the model no.Some random pics:You guys obviously know a lot more about them than me, and I was wondering if you can tell me it there are any differences between the two of them, as I can't find any online specs for the 1100T?I'm using the amp to power 2 x Solar Audio HX 12" woofers, and I'm pleasantly surprised by its power. Before this I had a local branded 6000D monoblock that claimed 4500WRMS, but had nothing on the US Amp!
December 31, 200519 yr wow NICE never got to look at a 1000DE maybe JR or someone that knows the older stuff can chime in
February 9, 200619 yr thats is the de-1000 ive had a couple and if you lok at teh stamp on the board it say this is a class DE amp... and us amps is the only one with DE aps so its a de-1000 great amp btw.the 1100 is actaully from the pt-1100 as far as i know which has tripath technology. so that might be where the usa-1100T came from :dunno:
February 9, 200619 yr haha wow what an old thread, oh and that is the board for the old de-1000 not the new one
February 9, 200619 yr That is an old DE with 1100T endcaps. Ive had 3/4 of the series ever made, including this Tripath and 3 others mentioned, so im not new to US's. The pt-1100's were badasses. 90% eff, ran ice cold, and made power at 8ohm, you could have that in stereo if you wished. Neat - 0.Anway.....Proof? My old REAL 1100T, as sold to Paradigmskater, a staff member of a place i frequent.http://www.sounddomain.com/ride/2115548/2NOTE.....see the chip? T's are tripaths.Ill bet you 2 bucks that amp came from eBay. I saw a fool trying to hawk it, with incorrect endcaps and all, a while back, and passed on it.
February 9, 200619 yr Still a US tho.....and a decent one. BTW bring.... which DE was had stability mislabeled as one ohm, but wasnt? Just curious.
February 9, 200619 yr hmm i think that was the de-1000 when they first came out, they had the endcaps wrong but they fixed after a bit (i think thats right, but i know what your talkin about). that one he has is 2ohm stable but can be ran down to 1ohm as long as you keep the current/voltage up. the DE-1000 without the half moons are the ones that are labeled for 1 ohm and put out full power at 1 ohm.
February 9, 200619 yr ahh ha found the pic i was looking for and will answer our questions ren it was the old DE-1000 that was wrong, they were actually 2 ohm stable(for full power) but it was labeled 1ohm. the newer ones were 1 ohm stable and put out full power there. here is a pic that helped me remember
February 9, 200619 yr Thats what i thought. It bore mentioning IMO.That amp he has wasnt a factory mistake, just for the record, and not in reply to you.I think she sold in Oct. (The t in question.)
