ok so my friend asked me to pick out some options for his first system. he has a 05 impala stock batt. he is not worried about sq; he just wants a daily driver.about 300$ for the subs and i told him to get a ap 1500. seats fold down he is not trying to seal off the trunk. he wanted 2 p1 15s i told him not to do that told him get 3 ia 187 12s, 1 ia li 15 , 2 rex 12s, or 1 15 fi bl. is there any other suggestions i could give him. i also told him to get a new batt. he is not worried about taking up the whole trunk, also the icon 15 was suggested.

stock batt will probably be ok, spend the money on nicer gear, install, big three, etc.

But seriously, I just picked up a 10" Orion XTR from Sonic Electronix for $66 and some change (they are having their 11th anniversary sale). I've only had it for a few days, but it's a damn good sub for the price. If I had the room I'd buy a couple more.

I am in the middle of doing the same for my friends 2001 Impala. lol

We put 2 Atomic APX 12"s on a MTX 1,500 for bass. And a Alpine PDX 4 channel with Bravox Components running Active.

That was a few months ago, now this Friday he's buying Duran's Sundown 3000 and things are getting freaky. lol

Anyway, I will ALWAYS try to push AQ for a nice starter system.
