i meant a lmao not xp

the white regulator is for pcm controlled cars

the grey one is for 'regular' car lol

With the 4G alternator in your car you would have required a voltage regulator and adapter harness IF it would fit. There's $100 worth in parts, then the installation.

We use factor Ford 6G cases in many of our applications to insure proper fit and function. We install our internals to make it perform to our standard. What the case looks like on the outside has nothing to do with what is inside.

As for the Voltage regulator, the white one says "Motorcraft" on it. That's an OEM replacement regulator we use in many applications. The grey regulator we sent to him for his unit is a OEM spec replacement.

Also the factory alts have a smaller stud where you would connect your batts too.

I take it this is the reason all the mechman alts you see come with a ring terminal.

Correct. Our units will have the 8mm stud and most of the factory ring terminals on the Fords are 6mm. We provide the proper size lug for the Alt+ stud so all you have to do with our units is open up your factory ring terminal a bit. I had to when I installed on my Ford but it only takes a second.

Proper fit of the lugs is critical, improperly sized lugs will cause heat in the stud to damage the unit or will not allow for proper charging. That's why we send them out with the right stuff.

Justin- You have an email. Your last one went to spam again for some reason!

Do all Mechman alts use a standard 8mm stud? I only ask because I have a feeling the factory alternator for my Camry is not 8mm... Could be wrong..

Depends on the unit. The vast majority of our 270a units and all of our higher amperage units have been built with the larger stud. Many of the lower amperage units, 220a and less, are not equipped with the larger stud as it is not necessary at that power level.

My 250a Mitsubishi unit on my CV has the 8mm stud.

thanks
