when you tune ur amp, do you have the bass level on the headunit at 0, or at the lowest it could be, i have it at -6, but was going to re-tune using it at 0

what u guys think

thanks

For setting the gain?

If you plan on using the bass level on the headunit then set it to max, set your volume to max listening, turn up your gain on the amp until it distorts then back off.

Generally the bass level adjusts non-subwoofer frequencies too. Is this amp for your subwoofers? Does your head unit have a setting for just subwoofers?

ok, thanks,

i kno theres a ton of ways to tune an amp but i've never heard to crank everything.

usually you set the bass to 0 and turn your head unit to 3/4 volume

If you want to use the base boost on the head unit. Then you need to set the amp gains with the boost and volume as high as you will ever turn them. Then turn them down.

Base boost normally doesn't help. It just makes it easy to clip your amp. LOL
