September 16, 201113 yr Author now with the change to the Level 5 and new boxi just brushed the left over resin around, but matted and resined the 1.25in dowels.
September 16, 201113 yr Author lv5 is getting reconed because the basket was broken in the mail, here are some pics, recone and new basket should arrive early next week. here is the basket taken off the motor, notice the missing basket and there is another crack to the right by the next basket arm all the way through.cutout soft parts (quad spiders, dual sewn tinsels, 8 layel flat wind 3in coil on black anodized coil former)level 5 motor (~10in in diameter)mom decided to pay for some kicks because she kept hearing me talk about them (lol)will have a set of selenium 6w4p's(i payed for these hehe, shows up in the mail tomorrow) for the stock location and my kicker components in the kicks.
September 16, 201113 yr Author and with the level 5, i had it for about 5 days, i was getting a wierd coil rub scratching sound, sent it to get looked at by Rusty, showed up at DC HQ with the broken basket. Thats why it need the recone, i never even got to let the 2 AQ1200ds pound on it.vids:level 4s level 5only vid i got of it after 2 and a half months of waiting. (plays at the endish, gain was almost all the way down) Edited September 16, 201113 yr by ChevyBoy95

September 17, 201113 yr Author Nice build. Does that pprt extension on the first box make a diference?4hz worth, dropped it to 36 from 40(it was at 40 because i miss measured the port width, so i added that extension)
September 17, 201113 yr That sucks about the broken sub from the mail But the added port length on the box looks cool!
September 17, 201113 yr Author That sucks about the broken sub from the mail But the added port length on the box looks cool!yea, the extension made it easier to carpet the port because i didnt have to clean up the edge.
October 2, 201113 yr Enclosure work is awesome. At first I thought you made the kick pods and like "hot damn that's sick" Tuned in for more.
December 8, 201113 yr Author Ive kinda been neglecting this build log, but might as well update it since I will basically be starting over.So some of you know that I had a wreck  , well now its time to rebuild basically from the ground up. Things will be done in this order:1. Headunit in2. Deaden everything pretty much (passenger side, back, and floor)3. Alternator (3,4, and 5 might come after 6 and 7 so i at least have tunes)4. Batteries in5. 1/0 throughout (2runs of pos and neg)6. Kicks and doors (speakers)7. Mids highs amp8.Temp L7 15 in my old DC level 4 15 box9. Sub amp in10. and so on...List of equipment:-2 Kinetik HC1400s, 1 Kinetik HC800-Mechman 200a Alternator (14.2 charging hot)-Soundstream Goliath Tarantula XXX-6500 @ 2 (~3kwrms)-DC Level 5 18-Cadence Wiring (~50ft of 1/0, ~100+ ft of 14ga, 15ft of 8ga)-Oxygen Audio Spiral F150 for mids and highs-Dayton Audio PA165-8s and ?(maybe type r coaxes or idk)-Audiotechnix Sound Deadener-Alpine CDE 125BT headunit (might upgrade so i can have a 4v preout)-DB Link fuse holders cant think of anything else... Box for the DC will probably be BCarter's Design he did, or a VERY close tweak of it.~6 cubes, 33-35hz, 120-135sq in of port (i say tweak because i think +125 sq in would be overkill and cause issues with power)Temp box for the L7 is a old one of mine, 3.4 cubes, 33hz with 3 4in pvc tubes. Absolutely hammered lows so hopefully it does the same with the L7.
December 8, 201113 yr Author wreckkicks, RCAs, wiring, PAC LC-1, fuse blocks, etc is all in therelayoutUpdate 1 (might be still processing) Edited December 8, 201113 yr by ChevyBoy95
