Posted October 19, 201113 yr Hi to all, this is my first post in this forum I have some question to ask and i hope to get some answers First of all, i have already checked the "SSD Box cut sheets!" topic but the box measures are too big, but also i read the box must be of 6/10 cu.ftSo i ask if the following measures are ok for a FI SSD 18" (i want brutal bass, a huge pressure, feel bass hits my head and also get accorded at low frequencies like 30-33)Box: 6.6 cu.ftBox Width = 27.55 inches (70 cm)Box Height = 19.68 inches (50 cm)Box length = 19.68 inches (50 cm)Air Port height = 11.81 inches (30 cm)Air Port width = 3.93 inches(10 cm)Air Port length = 15.74 inches ( 40 cm)I calculated the measures with the help of Bass Box Pro 6 and it said with this dimension of box/air port will get tuned to 33.57hzSo what do you think about a box like that? would be good for a FI SSD 18"?I hope to type the measures correctly because i'm not from the US or America so i use another metric measures. October 19, 201113 yr are those external dimensions of the box? if so you need to subtract the thickness of the wood from the volume. Also, you need to subtract the amount of volume you port and sub displace.
October 19, 201113 yr Author Are internal dimensions.Anyway, i forgot to specify the wood thickness: 1,18 inches (3 cm) of MDF wood, and also i forgot to ask how much must be the thickness of the port. This is the box project from the top, the red color indicate the port thickness: Edited October 19, 201113 yr by BassMonster
