Posted November 21, 201113 yr How would you figure this out? Ac/dc / ac/dc? Running a mmats D300hc in a 2 cu. Sealed enclosure. Not supposed to run the mmats below 1 for daily driving, so want to know how I'm doing so, is this the cheater amp its made to be? Drawing lots of current lol, voltage drop. Don't want to dmg the amp, rewiring it to 4 and making a larger ported I guess.
November 21, 201113 yr Exactly why are you worried about rise? Is this a SPL numbers vehicle? If not I wouldn't be to worried about it. As far as your amp is concerned, how much current is it drawing and how much is your voltage dropping?
November 21, 201113 yr There is no such thing as impedance rise, sure impedance rises to a peak, but...
November 21, 201113 yr ^^Yep. Your particular alignment will have an impedance curve. You can measure this or if you have relaible software, can model it for the most part.
November 22, 201113 yr quantum physics are easier to figure out then silly impedance rise, plus quantum physics is applicable in every day life! JKbut for every impedance rise there is an impedance fall!
November 27, 201113 yr Author quantum physics are easier to figure out then silly impedance rise, plus quantum physics is applicable in every day life! JKbut for every impedance rise there is an impedance fall! Thanks, that explains a lot. I'm worried that I'm damaging my amp bc its unmodded, but in the same aspect, should still have the safety feature..amps draw 1400 + @ 2 ohm.
